Each panel undergoes a rigorous dual-layer lamination process: first a melamine-impregnated base layer for structural integrity, then a PET film top layer (0.25mm–0.8mm thickness) bonded with German-brand PUR hot-melt adhesive. The surface is protected with a peel-off plastic film during transit and installation, ensuring the panel arrives in flawless condition — ready to impress.
Unlike traditional melamine boards or PVC-wrapped panels, our PET film surface contains zero formaldehyde, zero heavy metals, and meets food-grade safety standards — making it one of the healthiest choices for kitchen cabinets, wardrobes, and children's furniture. Q1. Where is PET MDF typically used?
PET MDF panels are widely used in modern furniture manufacturing, especially for wardrobes, kitchen cabinets, shelving units, and office desks. Their combination of durability and decorative appeal makes them a practical and stylish choice for both residential and commercial interior spaces.
Q2. Is PET MDF waterproof and scratch-resistant?
The PET film surface itself is water-repellent, moisture-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant — making it well-suited for kitchen cabinet doors, bathroom vanity fronts, and other interior surfaces exposed to splashes and humidity. The PET surface will not absorb water, swell, or delaminate under normal indoor conditions. However, the particleboard core is not fully waterproof. Exposed cut edges must be sealed with matching edge banding to prevent moisture from entering the core. Provided all edges are properly banded, PET particleboard performs reliably in kitchens and bathrooms as vertical panels and door fronts. It is not designed for direct or prolonged submersion in standing water (e.g., as a floor panel in a wet room).
Q3. Is PET MDF easy to cut and edge-band?
Yes. PET MDF can be cut using standard woodworking tools. To prevent edge chipping and achieve a clean result, we recommend using sharp carbide-tipped blades. Edge banding should be applied after cutting to ensure a finished, professional appearance.

PET MDF features a resin-impregnated decorative surface layer, giving it superior aesthetics and surface durability compared to raw plywood or standard MDF.
