Zero formaldehyde, food-grade PET material — certified safe for families and children
PET (polyethylene terephthalate) is a food-grade plastic material used in water bottles and food packaging — containing no added chemical solvents, plasticizers, or heavy metals. Our PET film surface emits zero formaldehyde, achieving an absolute formaldehyde-free rating that exceeds E0 and CARB P2 standards. It is colorless, odorless, and completely non-toxic — an ideal choice for kitchen cabinets, children's room furniture, and any environment where air quality matters.

-70°C to +120°C thermal stability — scratch-resistant, acid-resistant, and built to last
PET film is an engineering-grade resin material that maintains optimal physical properties across extreme temperatures, from -70°C to +120°C. The surface offers exceptional resistance to scratching, abrasion, acids, alkalis, and UV-induced yellowing — ensuring the board retains its appearance for years of daily use. During fabrication, PET panels cut cleanly without chipping, cracking, or dulling saw blades, making production more efficient. The surface also repels common household stains and is easy to wipe clean, making it an ideal choice for kitchen cabinet doors and panels.

Skin-touch matte surface — fingerprint-proof, soft to touch, perfect for handle-free cabinet designs
Our matte PET particleboard — also known as "skin-touch PET board" — features a velvety, ultra-smooth surface that resists fingerprints and smudges, keeping cabinets looking clean even with daily handling. The soft tactile feel adds a premium, high-end quality to furniture that customers immediately notice. This finish is especially popular for handle-free (J-pull or push-to-open) kitchen and wardrobe designs, where the surface itself is touched frequently and first impressions matter.

FAQ

Q1. What are the common applications of PET particleboard?
PET film particleboard is widely used in furniture manufacturing and interior decoration. It is particularly popular for kitchen cabinet doors and panels, wardrobe carcasses and doors, TV units, shoe cabinets, office workstations, and retail display fixtures. Its combination of attractive surface finishes, durable PET coating, and cost-effective particleboard core makes it a preferred choice for both residential and commercial projects where design and value are equally important.

Q2. Is PET particleboard waterproof or scratch-resistant?
The PET film surface itself is water-repellent, moisture-resistant, and highly scratch-resistant — making it well-suited for kitchen cabinet doors, bathroom vanity fronts, and other interior surfaces exposed to splashes and humidity. The PET surface will not absorb water, swell, or delaminate under normal indoor conditions. However, the particleboard core is not fully waterproof. Exposed cut edges must be sealed with matching edge banding to prevent moisture from entering the core. Provided all edges are properly banded, PET particleboard performs reliably in kitchens and bathrooms as vertical panels and door fronts. It is not designed for direct or prolonged submersion in standing water (e.g., as a floor panel in a wet room).

Q3. Can PET particleboard be cut and edge-banded easily?
Yes. PET particleboard can be cut using standard woodworking tools — circular saws, panel saws, and CNC routers. Compared to MDF, particleboard cores tend to be slightly more prone to edge chipping, so we recommend using sharp carbide-tipped blades and maintaining a consistent feed speed for clean cuts. Edge banding is strongly recommended after cutting — not only for a neat finish, but to seal the core against moisture. Our boards are compatible with standard ABS, PVC, and matching PET edge banding tape.

Q4. How does PET particleboard compare to plywood or MDF?
PET particleboard combines a compressed wood-chip core with a premium PET film surface. Compared to plywood, it offers lower structural strength and load-bearing capacity but provides significantly better surface aesthetics and a more cost-effective solution for flat-panel furniture and cabinet carcasses. Compared to MDF, particleboard is lighter in weight and lower in cost, though MDF has a smoother, denser surface that is slightly better suited for very intricate routing or profiling. For most flat-panel furniture and cabinet applications, PET particleboard delivers the ideal balance of appearance, performance, and price.

Q5. What colors and surface finishes are available for PET particleboard?
We offer PET particleboard in a wide variety of colors, wood grain patterns, and surface finishes. Standard finish options include high gloss, skin-touch matte, and semi-gloss. Decorative patterns include solid colors (white, cream, grey, beige, taupe, and more), natural wood grains (oak, walnut, teak, pine), stone-look patterns, and abstract textures. Custom colors and patterns can be produced for orders meeting minimum quantity requirements. Whether your project calls for a modern minimalist palette, a warm Scandinavian look, or a bold statement finish, we can accommodate your design vision.
